This image is part of my currently untitled series exploring resonance and symbolism in the floral and natural world. A meditation on effort and patience, I picked white Everlastings on the verge of opening, knowing that they contain a vibrant golden center. A glimpse of the gold within is visible in the largest flower, a moment of anticipation for the unfolding bloom.
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Logan has a BFA in Art History and Photography from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Her photographs have been exhibited in Houston FotoFest’s Nowhere Near Here, exhibited and published in The Photo Review's Best of Show juried by Lesley A. Martin, and published online in the Humble Arts Foundation’s Group Show No. 35. Her most recent show, As In a Mirror, was installed in Cobra Rock from September to November 2023.
